This design takes the Midwest ranch style home and incorporates a 30° degree twist. The home designed for this property takes advantage of the beautiful east and northern mountain views as well as the solar heating and lighting benefits to the south and west. The homeowners are accomplished in the culinary arts and love to entertain, thus an adequate kitchen and open and accessible public spaces were designed into the home. This layout incorporates exterior living areas out the front and back of the home onto beautiful stone patios with barbeque grill and fire-pit.
Once again maintenance-free sustainable common sense design with exterior synthetic stucco applications, metal roofing, soffit and fascia. The structural insulated panels provide an R-49 keeping the cold air outside in the winter, and inside during the summertime heat. The design includes a breakfast nook set in a round cylinder constructed with SIP’s and includes a beautiful, custom built German-style booth.
A Word from the Owners…
“We discovered Pagosa Springs about 4 years ago. Our friends, Tom & Sandy Artzberger introduced us to Pagosa and blazed the trail west from Wisconsin to Colorado.
In the process they introduced us to Torry and April Hessman, the builders of their beautiful home in Elk Park. What a blessing that introduction turned out to be as we again followed their lead and contracted with HTI to construct our home here in Loma Linda.
Torry has assembled and maintained a group of subcontractors that are not only true craftsmen but also quality human beings. Their work speaks for itself.
April worked diligently to keep us within our projected budget. Our cost overruns were minimal, a direct result of our own choices to complete our vision.
Our dream became their dream.
Our builders became our friends.
